About

ECCS has been helping children grow and learn in a safe, nurturing environment since 1976. A non-profit, non-sectarian day care center, ECCS admits all children regardless of race, color, nationality or religious beliefs. Neither corporately owned nor operated, we are state licensed and governed by a Board of Directors that includes parents and community members.

ECCS fosters a balanced learning environment that promotes both individual and group development. Our center offers pre-school and private kindergarten programs within the framework of a quality day care center. We are located in a safe residential area with facilities that include two age-appropriate playgrounds.

Programs

ECCS offers full-day, limited half-day and extended care programs.

The Full-day Program includes any nine hours of care.
The Limited Half-day Program begins at 8:30 AM and ends at 12:30 PM.
The Extended Program is provided for those needing more than nine hours of child care daily.

The Infant Program provides a nuturing environment with a loving and caring staff. Daily exchanges between staff and parents include two-way written reports and verbal communications to update parents on their child's eating, sleeping, and changing schedules.

The Pre-School Program emphasizes language development, listening skills and relationship-building through play and structured learning experiences.

The Pre-Kindergarten Program emphasizes development and listening skills by encouraging children to explore and experiment in learning centers. Pre-math and readiness skills are introduced, along with computer activities. Learning to reason and form values paves the way to kindergarten success.

The Kindergarten Program provides an enriching environment specifically designed to enhance each child's development. Our fully-accredited program includes carefully planned, fun activities with appropriate equipment and materials necessary for personal growth. This curriculum includes reading readiness, basic skills, science, social studies, computers, and social development.

Nutrition

Proper nutrition is an essential ingredient of good health. ECCS provides a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack. Menus are provided bi-weekly and are created with children's tastes in mind. Considerate of children's allergies, we are a peanut-free facility.

Well balanced meals are necessary for children to meet their daily energy needs and develop healthy bodies and strong minds.

Learning Environment

Our curriculum meets the standards of the National Association for the Education of Young Children. The program includes math, science, world cultures, art, music, phonics, and motor development. While the curriculum and activities are structured, ample indoor and outdoor play and special events are key as well. We believe that play is the foundation for learning.

Weekly themes highlight our summer months. Games, arts and crafts, water play, and special snacks fill our days.
